Patch & Vulnerability Management
Continuous scanning and timely patching.
Overview
We continuously find vulnerabilities and missing patches, prioritise them by real risk and verify that fixes are applied.

Technical scope
- Authenticated vulnerability scanning of servers, endpoints, network devices and cloud
- Asset discovery and inventory
- Prioritisation by CVSS, exploit availability and asset criticality
- Patch policy, test rings and maintenance windows
- Operating system and third-party application patching
- Rollback and exception handling
- Remediation tracking and re-scan

Architecture and how it works
Scanners and agents collect asset and vulnerability data into a central platform. Findings are ranked by severity, exploitability and business importance, then sent to patch tooling through test rings before production.

Tools and deliverables
Reports show asset coverage, vulnerabilities ranked by CVSS, exploit availability and asset criticality, and patch compliance by ring. Exceptions are recorded with an owner and expiry date, and re-scan results confirm each remediation.

Common questions
How are vulnerabilities discovered?
Authenticated scans and agents collect asset and vulnerability data from servers, endpoints, network devices and cloud into a central platform, backed by asset discovery and inventory. Authenticated scanning sees installed software and missing patches directly, so results are more accurate than an outside-in scan.
How do you prioritise beyond the CVSS score?
CVSS is combined with exploit availability and asset criticality, so a moderate score on an exposed, business-critical system can outrank a high score on a low-value one. This ranks work by real risk rather than raw score, so limited patching time goes to the issues attackers are most likely to use.
How are patches rolled out safely?
Patches go through test rings and maintenance windows before production, using Intune, Windows Update for Business or WSUS, with rollback and exception handling in place. Starting with a small test group exposes compatibility problems early, so wide deployment is safer and any needed rollback is quick.
How is remediation verified?
Remediation is tracked per asset, then the asset is re-scanned to confirm the vulnerability is gone, rather than assuming a deployed patch worked. Exceptions are recorded with an owner and a review date, so any risk that is accepted stays visible and gets revisited instead of being forgotten.
